Enabling year round athletics for all youngsters
Overview
For more than 25 years the Sportshall mix of fun and competitive activity has enabled clubs to retain athletes throughout the winter months. Many athletics clubs have invested in equipment and coach development to provide their athletes with a wider range of activity over the winter whilst continuing to develop athletic skills. Sportshall competition provides the incentive for many to continue their training!
County Leagues
Many county associations and development groups have established Sportshall leagues and championships. These encourage young athletes and their coaches to maintain a focus throughout the winter, whilst also building the fun and competitive spirit vital for a young sportsperson’s development. In many counties these leagues form the basis of selection for the UK Championships.
