    FIGHTING fit pupils from five primary schools in the Selby district pitted their skills against each during the Selby cluster Sportshall athletics competition.


    The event took place on Friday November 23 at Selby High School, with Thorpe Willoughby, Wistow, Selby County Primary, Barwic Parade and Hambleton Primary Schools taking part2013 Nike Air Max Cheap Hot sale.

    There were 12 events in total. Six track and six field events. To begin with the Selby High School year nine students and teachers started doing warm-ups with the children. As soon as everyone was warmed up they got on with the games.

    The main organiser got the children in their schools and announced the results of the contest2013 Nike Air Max Cheap Hot sale.

    In fifth place was Thorpe Willoughby with 106 points, fourth Wistow – 122 points, third was Selby County Primary School with 134 points and in second place Barwic Parade with 146 points.     The Sportshall Awards scheme is designed to provide a fun framework for curriculum-time delivery of Sportshall AthleticsBuy Air Max 2013 Shoes Cheap Now.

    The sessions prepare the children for the competition pathway as well as rewarding their individual performance and improvement in the form of badges and certificates.

    The programme also helps to identify gifted and talented children, enables schools to compete virtually against other schools all over the UK and can support fitness monitoring within the school and in a broader context.

    The 30 pupils who scored the most combined points in balance step, long jump, high-stepper, chest push and speed bounce were due to represent their school in a level 2 competition, against other schools from Ipswich and South Suffolk, at Westbourne Community College, todayCheap Nike Air Max 2013 Sale.

    Sportshall development officer Adam Burgess said: “The day was a great success and enjoyed by all.”
